Thankfully there were only a couple more steps and then he could bottle and cork it and be done with it after it was picked up.

There had been a tinkling of the bell outside in the shop but being in the middle of a crucial step, Nigel wasn't able to move to check on things just at the moment. However when a crash was heard, the shopkeeper was taken a back and jostled the frozen ashwinder egg in his grasp enough to send it into the cauldron prematurely. Before he could react, the boiling potion reacted spattering the area including the potioner with the ruined potion.

"MERLIN's BEARD!" he yelled with a sigh, his wand quickly in his hand to vanish what he could needing to check on what had happened in the shop. Nigel was relatively clear after the spell however the rest could wait. When he returned he was none to happy about what he had had to fix and the task still left at hand. To try and calm his nerves, he went about brewing himself a cup of tea, setting the tea cup on the work station after taking a sip. He then went to work cleaning the area up, using magic with some and using manpower the rest since one had to be careful of mixing effects.

He didn't notice a glob of potion that had hit the ceiling of the office in the explosion, nor did he notice when said glob fell into his freshly brewed beverage, deluding in the hot liquid in between calming sips. Nigel was too busy trying to rectify the situation and finish cleaning up the mess all over the one area of the office. Stupid charms not working 100% in protecting things. Finally the shopkeeper figured he was done and sat down with a sigh. The love potion was a flop and now he'd have to do it all over again on top of it.
And why was he dealing with all this?

Right...Elinor.

Cue loving sigh. His eyes gracing over to the vase of flowers she had left on her earlier visit and he had brought back to his desk for safe keeping.

"Dear Elinor..." he mused with a smile, the woman remembering his favorite flower and being kind enough to bring him a bunch of hellebore as well as the flowers she always seemed to smell like. That was a nice smell.
Elinor had her fingers crossed that Nigel wasn't mad at her. He seemed a little disgruntled at her request, even though it was easy enough to talk him into filling it. But, really. A Potion's Master can't really be picky, can he? It was his job to supply people with what they needed. And Elinor needed two ounces of Amortenia. So there. She took a breath and felt better.

As Elinor approached the door, she could smell honey. Why did she smell honey? It was fantastic... She opened the door and stepped inside. The shop appeared empty, but it was filled with the most... intoxicating array of scents. She smelled honey and... New books, and something sharp...

Mint chocolate-chip ice cream.

Elinor crossed the shop, which was very quiet and empty, following the smell. Of course! The amortentia. The lady gave her head a firm shake. Powerful stuff, alright. She didn't want to call Nigel away from the side of his cauldron, so she stepped around the counter and towards the back room.

"Nigel? I know you've been hard at work, so I thought I'd bring you--"

The woman had one hand in her purse as she stopped mid-sentence. There appeared to have been, uhm... A little spill?

"...something to eat." She finally finished her sentence after a moment of shock, pulling out a wrapped-up sandwich and setting it on the desk, where she also rested her purse.

"Goodness, what happened?", she asked, finally looking to Nigel, who seemed to be greatly enjoying his tea.
