Kurumi sat veeeeeeeeeery still as her little boat thing drifted more towards the center of the tank. The good news was that she wasn't sinking or leaking, the bad news was that now Kurumi was wondering if she would somehow manage to flip herself over in the tank.

Not that that would be the end of the world or anything. Kurumi just fancied staying dry until they actually were in the lake and falling in seemed like a more plausible thing.

Kurumi's head snapped up when she heard Professor Magnus call out to her and she sort of offered the woman and awkward wave while her coracle rocked back and forth due to her movements. Erm...not good... Kurumi lowered her arm rather abruptly but somehow managed to keep her mildly confident looking smile on her lips as she did. "I-I'm fine, professor," Kurumi assured the woman. Just, you know, not going to move any part of my body for a while...

"Now, I know some you would wish to carry on with the current spell, but I'm going to fill you all in on the one for the paddle. It is the coracle spell you will be repeating over and over for the game later, so this is slightly less important for that. But I expect you all to take it just as seriously."

Placing another stick on the ground, Isabelle flexed her arms and pointed her wand at it. "Ta-lea!" She drew a horizontal line in the air, finished with a little loop at the end. The small stick began to stretch in length and width, one end of it becoming broader and flatter than the rest. Once completed a paddle was in it's place. "See? The wand movement is a line and loop, as if you are drawing the shape of a spoon in the air." That made sense right? They could visualise a spoon. Well, as long as they didn't create one.

"If there are no questions, you can go ahead and try this spell too. Or carry on for a while to get your coracle just right." Issy smiled and stowed her wand back in it's holster. She was done with it for now.
Rocking just a little in her coracle while she listened to Professor Magnus moved things along just a little. Although Kurumi was a little confused about needing the other spell more. Were they going to make a path out of them to cross the lake or something? Sort of like lily pad hopping?! That wouldn't explain the paddles though. Hmmm...

Shaking her head to refocus on the demonstration. "Ta-lea..." Kurumi repeated under her breath while she continued to rock back and forth a little in the tank. Reaching into her pockets for no real reason other than to have something to do with her hands, Kurumi winced when her fingers were jabbed by some of the toothpicks in her pocket - the ones that she thought she would need after her imagined failed attempts. Things had just worked out better than she imagined they would have.

Tracing a line with a loop at the end with her wand a few times, Kurumi leaned over the edge of her coracle for a moment before sitting back up straight. She wasn't freaking out like she had been before, but that was because her coracle was proving itself to be sturdy.

Back to rolling her shoulders to loosen them up a bit, Kurumi set the toothpick on her knee and readied her wand again. If all went well...she could use her hopefully transfigured paddle to get herself back to the edge of the tank where she could then slip out of the tank and back on dry land.

And maybe help Daichi.

"Ta-lea," Kurumi said as she repeated the wand movement over the toothpick on her knee. It immediately began to morph and twist and expand...wait...no...it wasn't really expanding - at least not in the way Professor Magnus' had. After a few moments Kurumi looked at the results of her spellwork and couldn't help but laugh. She had a paddle...but a paddle that was the perfect size for a cornish pixie or a garden gnome.

More to amuse herself than seriously thinking that it would be effective, Kurumi held it between her two fingers and dipped it into the water as though she was going to paddle, which obviously didn't work, but it was amusing to her. Wand back out again, Kurumi pointed it at the mini!paddle. "Reverto."

Mini!paddle back to toothpick, Kurumi pondered just using her hands to get out of the tank, but she would feel more accomplished if she did so by means of a paddle...
