A kneazle caught his attention and Gideon couldn't help but smile. Other then birds like owls and hawks and their more magical cousins, kneazles and cats were the other creatures he had always been exposed to growing up. His aunt had certainly had instilled that connection as best she could being quite the feline lover even without it being her animangus form. (Which it was.) And kneazles were supposed to be really intelligent though the prefect wasn't quite sure how exactly that was measured.
"Hey there fella," he said moving closer, watching it jump up to a perch halfway up his height. Gideon slowly raised his arm and moved to pet it, only continuing as it seemed to get a welcome response. A nice pet down its back here...a scratch behind the ears there...another beneath the chin like he remembered Sherlock and co liking, all of his actions getting a relaxed expression upon the kneazle. And a purr if one listened close enough. "You like the attention...don't ye?" he rhetorically asked as he continued for a little longer.
