Anyway. Mason was ready. He grabbed his quill and wrote the date down on his notepad, waiting for the rest to show up so the meeting could start.
Victoria nodded in his direction in acknowledgement as he readied himself for the meeting.

She was confident. If confident meant she was acting it - and underneath it all she was all a big ball of nerves. A squirming eel in a bucket wouldn't be as nervous as she really was.
She hoped she wasn't sweating. Sweat wasn't good. Sweat stunk - and she didn't want to stink. Stinking was bad. Very bad.
Her smile had faltered somewhere in the middle of her revere and she quickly put it back into place. "Well I am glad things are going well for you - and I get it the meeting should be fun" maybe her idea of fun was a little bit off?

Layla clicked her way into the conference room with some large folders clutched tightly under her arm and her bag on the other. She walked in with a smug smile on her face and certainly did not look like someone who should have been there minutes before, but that was because she came bearing goodies.
She nodded at the persons seated."Good morning!" She announced brightly. And my wasn't it a good morning.
Moments later she took her seat and busied herself with finding her parchment and quill, ready for the meeting.
Victoria, pulled out her chair and sat down before leaning unto her for arms and said,
"Since this is the extent of the department that reads the notice board, let us begin. First thing on the agenda is the announcing of our new Magical Maintenance supervisors, Melanie Caparelli and Mason Everad. Also, the opening of the Ministry Food Court, well done to the team who put in so much work into the successful opening." "Secondly, I'd like to address a few things, especially with those who are just starting out on our level. To speak to the Minister of Magic you must go through the proper channels which would be myself, Senior Undersecretary or Ms. Ward, who is the Junior Undersecretary. However, since she is on leave at the moment, that leaves me. Please do not barge into the Minister's office without the green light from me."
Vicky leaned back and said,
"Are there any questions or concerns anyone would like to raise?"
Yeah, this was Ms. Daniels speaking and she was all business. She never saw the reason to sugar coat or beat around the bush with anything.
