Glancing at the Gryffindor table, Gula located her sister. She seemed to be in an animated conversation with that annoying guy she had always had a crush on, and his sister. She looked at Caute again and shook her head. "It's nothing, really. I was just thinking about how time has flown. Pretty soon, we'll all have to grow up... forever." Caute nodded, proud smile still there, but slowly fading into its usual look of caution. "Thank you," she said, ducking her head a little to hide her blush. "You play as well, don't you?" Caute asked, inclining her head to the left to face Gula better.
The piece was for two pianos after all, and Cate'd have to enchant the other piano to play with her otherwise.
Noticing Gula's eyes shift to the Slytherin table, she spotted Lus smiling at her. Caute was nothing if not careful, so she simply gave Lus a friendly smile. They had much to talk about later. Then, her eyes went towards the Gryffindor table against her will. Searching for Temperantia in vain, she sighed before turning back to Gula.
"I've been thinking about that lately as well," Caute sighed. "But I think that we're ready, for the most part." And they would learn more after they had taken up their new responsibilities. "It'll be hard, though. Growing up."
But that was enough on topics that would bring their spirits down. It was the beginning of term, and something Cate wanted to treasure. But her mind constantly disobeyed her, reminding her of the time she'd heard Temp singing, and of the way he would help her with Herbology. "Have you seen Temp?" she asked Gula, her voice only barely managing to sound nonchalant. |
