'One thing for sure, I know that they are both working fine because I still see this hawt guy standing in front of me....unless he is right and there's something wrong with my eyes and he actually looks like an ogre.' Alyssa silently thought to herself trying to hide her grin.
"I do not slouch. Did you want to sit here? Sorry if it's sopping wet from my perspiration. I just had a very exhausting Quidditch practice." Alyssa patted the seat next to her.
"What have you been up to? Have you had any success with any of the girls here yet?" Alyssa grinned before she burst out laughing. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't be laughing. It's just that you look like you're trying so hard to impress us girls, when all you need to do is smile and just let your good looks do all the work for you....O_o...I mean...."Alyssa stopped laughing when she realized what she had just said.
'Merlin's Beard, I didn't just say that to him. Now he's going to really have a big head. ' Alyssa quickly looked away trying to act normal and hoping that he hadn't heard what she had just said.
Sassy AND cheeky. Hmph. "Well, I am not normally accustomed to people usually staring at me with only one eye. I just assumed... wrongly, obviously. I'm sorry to have insulted your very
normal working eyes," just not a very
normal kind of person who was using them.
He watched on nervously as the girl was obviously thinking to herself. Elijah didn't want to be anywhere near her head right now. She then kindly, sort of, offered him a seat next to him, "Um... no thanks. I'm good here," where the seats were a little less... moist.
When she RUDELY started laughing at him and questioning his success with girls he put his head down and pretended to be concentrating heavily on his letter. How DARE she!? He had
plenty of success with girls. He had girls OWLING him everyday almost... kinda... sorta... not really. But what business of it was HERS?
And then she said it. Oh yes, she did. She wasn't laughing anymore.
Elijah grinned.
The panic that had overtaken the girls face was simply
delightful. Elijah took a moment to bask in the glory that the girl's little slip had caused for him. "It seems YOU can't even deny my obvious gorgeousness."
"Oh, and just for the record: I don't
try to impress girls. I try to make girls feel
good about themselves by paying attention to them. My looks, as you have so rightly stated, speak for themselves."
Hmph.
