Erin turned her attention towards Laura who for some reason started to talk about what they were supposed to be doing.
A name carving. Cool! No one could ever say it the way Laura did.
'That way people in the future can read that we were here at some point in time.' Their children, grandchildren, and the children of their grandchildren would know that Erin Heyman was here. Even those who were not exactly related to her. It'll feel good to be remembered.
"I could do that!" Erin beamed towards Laura.
Laura looked at Erin. "I'm glad." Laura smiled as she took out the equipment she would be needing and then she was knelt at the tree writing Laura Hope Hyde was here and the date and year." Laura giggled as she looked at it. "Your turns" she handed the equipment over to Erin. "It's easy and we can't get into trouble it not like we are doing anything dangerous or wrong, we are just putting our names in wood so people of the future can see we have been here."
