It was reported earlier this month that Emma Watson was up for a role in Darren Aronofsky's adaptation of 'Noah,' and now the former Harry Potter actress has confirmed that she is indeed taking on the part, as she mentioned on her official Twitter handle today. She also Retweeted future costar Russell Crowe's Twitter notes about starting production Noah this summer.



Emma will play Ila, who is "a young woman who develops a close relationship with Noah’s son, Shem [played by Douglas Booth]."

Filming is set to take place later this summer, with Oscar-winners Crowe and Jennifer Connelly portraying the titular historic figure and his wife Naameh, respectively, as well as Emma's The Perks of Being a Wallflower costar Logan Lerman, who will portray one of Noah's sons, Ham. It is also scheduled for a March 28, 2014 theatrical release.
