The basket of smore making stuff came to him, and Spike wrinkled his nose. Those kind of crackers? Bleh. He favoured biscuits when he made smores. "Er, Professor, do you mind if I just have the marshmallow-y bit?" he asked, biting his lip. "Or the chocolate-y bit? Unless you've got some digestive biscuits?"
Gemma looked at the young man, "Ummm...sure...I think it might be a little bit messy but go right ahead and give it a try." she said to the odd request...how was he planning on eating a melted marshmallow on a melted chocolate without anything holding it together.

In fact, he was fairly certain that Professor Cerulean wasn't even human. She was probably a living, breathing teddy bear inside of a human body.

When the basket of smorey stuff came his way, Milton just passed it along without taking anything from it. No. Just no. He wasn't even wearing his pajamas. But he did take the opportunity to wear jeans and a simple tshirt. That was comfortable enough for him.

Milton just sat back and watched the little film excerpt. Star Wars? Sounded... weird. And the more Milton watched, the more weird it got. They were fighting with neon sticks and the guy in black was breathing funny and--oh dear. The guy lost his hand. He could probably get a healer to fix that. As the scene went on, it just got even more ridiculous. The acting was terrible! "My dead grandmum can act better than that..."

I am your father.

No... NO... DATS NOT TWUE. DATS IMPOSSABUL.

Search your feelings, you KNOW it to be twue.

NOOOOOOOoooo! NOOOOooo...!

"HA-HA!" Milton laughed suddenly, overcome by a bout of absolute amusement at how horrible that acting was. He snorted and shook his head. "Ah, man," he mumbled with a quiet chuckle. That was good stuff right there.

Good as in completely ridiculous, by the way.

Ahem. Anyway. Milton listened to the professor continue without laughing anymore. It was hard to control his amused smile, however. He didn't dare speak up though, in fear that he might just giggle.
The professor glanced over at the young man the first time when he passed the basket of goodies by but then after watching his face during the movie and then he laughed....she kept her eyes on the young man waiting for him to say something...she wasn't sure what was wrong with him but he was acting a little rude, but he hadn't really said anything just yet....so she just kept glancing at him occasionally ready to pounce if she needed to.

Jory stared at the kid who said batman was lame. Was something wrong with him? Batman was definitely not lame.

"There's the Marvel movies based on X-Men. There are five movies in the series and protagonists include Wolverine, Professor Xavier and Storm. The antagonists include Magneto, Phoenix and Mystique,'' the badger said. "In all the movies, the superheroes set off to save the world from the douche bags.'' Jory loved all five of the movies but the second and fifth were his favourites.
She shook her head as he talked and then her mouth opened slightly with his last statement. She put a smile on her face but the said, "Now Jory you have the right idea, but let's not call anyone including our antagonists, douche bangs..." she asked him kindly.

Laura was confused and stopped there for the Professor to speak
"Well, you did point out a good point...sometimes your antagonists can become protagonists and vice versa. You chose an hard example to pin point which is which...but a good movie and story." she said encouragingly.

Gemma glanced around the room as the board filled up with the student's answers. She looked them over and smiled. "These are all great examples!" she said excitedly as she stepped away for everyone to glance over.

SPOILER!!: Examples of Protagonists vs. Antagonists

"Now that everyone has all of the supplies, go ahead and put your marshmallow on your stick and let it hover over the fire until it gets a golden brown." she said showing them what to do. "Everyone take turns using the fire and then have a seat once your marshmallow is toasted...if you need another marshmallow there are extras in the basket."

She turned back to the screen and tapped it three times. It cleared and then went blank. "Now many of you are familiar with fairy tales as they have been told in mainstream. Here is a quick video of all of the fairy tales that we recreated through a Muggle Movie company called Disney." she flicked the screen and short movie played.

~*Click HERE to watch a cool montage of all of the Disney Princesses, that I found on YouTube*~

After the short clip finished playing, she continued, "All of the movies created by Disney and other movie companies put a very whimsical and cheerful spin to fairy tales. All fairy tales had a beginning and not all of them were all goodness and light." she flicked the board and two pictures appeared.

"These men are known as the Brothers Grimm. Jacob Grimm and Wilhelm Grimm were German brothers who compiled a collection of ancient folk tales known as Grimm's Fairytales in the late 1700s and early 1800s. They were librarians, professors, scholars who studied classical literature, and folklorists. In 1805 Jacob traveled to Paris, France, to conduct research on Roman law and found a German manuscript of old stories."

She paused to make sure everyone was sinking in what she was saying, "Jacob vowed to keep the stories alive and decided to embark with his brother on a trip through Germany to collect other folk tales before the tales died out. The Grimms were especially interested in children's stories, which culminated in a book called Kinderhund Hausmarchen, which means Children's Household Tales or Grimm's Fairy Tales. This first publication, in 1812, was so well received that the brothers published several more volumes in 1815. Some of the more famous stories from these collections include "The History of Tom Thumb," "Little Red Riding Hood," "Puss in Boots," "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs," "Cinderella," and "The Princess and the Pea." she said reaching over to her shelf and pulling out a copy of the book. It was a huge heavy old book.

"Their versions were more lifelike and not so sugar coated as many of the stories we have heard over the years." she paused and watched the student toasting their marshmallows.

"So my next question, let's imagine we lived inside a fairy tale and in this fairy tale you met a fish that granted wishes and he gave you two wishes...what would your two wishes be?" she asked...yes this didn't have anything completely to with the Brother's Grimm but she couldn't really ask them a question about the Brothers when many had just be introduced to them.

OOC: Feel free to catch up with the lesson at any point by putting Catching Up in the title of your post.

Please remember to raise your hand and try not to repeat others’ answers. Remember that Gemma is watching.
