With a sigh of frustration, she turned slightly to look at the forest when..
she jumped! Startled, she turned around to find Stella standing next to her. Gosh. The Ravenclaw managed to give her a nasty fright. "Oh, hey." Evelyn smiled. "Yeah, well..it's pretty cold." Evelyn shivered slightly before she pushed a strand of hair from her face. "How have you been?" The Prefect hadn't seen Stella in a while.. Stella hadn't thought she would have startled Evelyn with her approach, but then, honestly, she hadn't expected the girl to have looked toward the forest as she'd walked over, either. Of course, even she herself had gotten a bit distracted as she'd heard Professor Bellaire reply to her good evening with one of her own, and she'd turned to look at the professor with another polite smile before she heard a squeak come from her scarf in response to the Hufflepuff prefect's jump. Turning back, she blushed slightly as she realized her mistake. "I'm sorry if I startled you," she replied softly and apologetically. "I thought you had seen me come over." Obviously that had been a wrong assumption, but at least Evelyn didn't seem like she was offended. Therefore, once she'd gotten over the moment of embarrassment, she smiled back at the other brunette.
"It's definitely cold," she replied, nodding a bit awkwardly since she still had Nuage up against one side of her neck underneath her scarf. That might get uncomfortable after a while, but she wasn't about to move the pygmy puff to her pocket. She'd just deal with having to hold her neck stiff for a while longer. "I've been alright. Being able to go home for the holidays helped," she added, answering the question. She'd had the distraction of everyone freezing in lessons, along with studying, to keep her from dwelling on the fact she now wouldn't see Matt for another six months, at least. She couldn't worry about one thing when she was worrying about what was happening here, after all. "How have you been?," she went on to ask, "Did you ever figure out the answer to that question?" She was honestly curious, seeing as Evelyn had seemed genuinely distressed over it when they'd talked at the gate at the beginning of the term. Although, she was distracted again as she heard Professor Bellaire single out Aspen, Paulie and Joćo to head to the front of the line. Did they do something else this time around, or is it still because of the last lesson?, she wondered, momentarily glancing over again as Paulie had marched up there.
