Woops...
She shouldn't have said that out loud...
Ok...
Back to the lesson.
"Alright, if you are quite finished having your fun... let's return to the plimpies." She put on her gloves. "Gloves on. Take your scalpel, clean it, and cut an incision under the scales by the fins." She demonstrated on the floating creature. "You then remove all the fins from the body, and place them in your tray. Don't worry when they disappear, they are being placed in the ingredients storage." She said waving a slimey gloved hand.
"Now, you will want to rotate the legs one at a time, widely, until you hear them pop out of the sockets, then you may cut along the lose skin, pull the legs off and put them in your tray." As she did so, she looked at the class. "You try now." Quote:

"Prefect Greingoth, I do not find. This. Funny!" She said now really losing her patience... But she knew Sierra... Sierra would never play a prank on her. Never... Sierra knew first hand Lafay's wrath...
"WHO DID THIS!!!" She yelled at the class. "Who cast on my..." she seemed to think about the word she was going to use. "... on my prefect!"
She closed her eyes and said calmly. "I can SEE that!"
She was not a happy camper.
"Hufflepuffs, if you are loyal to your prefect, you'll tell me who did this... Ravenclaws, if you are smart and don't wish to lose points, you'll tell me, Gryffindors, if you are just, and true you will be brave enough to tell me, and Slytherins... if you are ambitious enough to keep first place on the points board, you'll tell me... Ten points for whoever tatles on the person who cast the spell!" Honestly, Stella was quite certain by now that all the bizarre freezing incidents weren't the result of someone in the lesson playing pranks and casting spells under their workstation. Especially as Professor Lafay had made that comment about Professor Vindictus, since she'd already wondered if there had been a connection between her head of house's collapse and the Hufflepuff prefect's temporary freezing. Although, Lewis had snapped out of it, and as far as she was aware, Ravenclaw was still down one head of house. If anything, she wondered now if the Potions professor knew something she wasn't telling them, but before that thought could really go very far, the lesson had continued and her mind blanked as she realized her earlier assumption that they'd be doing the actual harvesting next was true. She managed to focus long enough to add to her notes on the harvesting process, however.
Once she'd gotten all the steps that had been demonstrated copied down in her journal, she securely pulled her gloves on. She certainly wasn't about to write in her journal with slimy gloves after she'd managed to harvest the body parts. Once that was complete, she picked the scalpel up and finally removed her wand from its holster long enough to Scourgify it. Once she was certain the scalpel was spotless, essentially sterilized, she returned her wand to its holster before reaching toward the poor little plimpy on the workstation in front of her. At least you'll be helping people by letting us take your body parts, she thought, still semi-talking to the dead creature even though it was silent. It wasn't like the plimpy could hear her if she'd spoken aloud anyhow, and, with only the briefest flinch, she inserted the scalpel underneath the scales as she'd been shown. Removing the fin, she placed it in the tray and then applied herself to repeating the process for the other fins. Now the plimpy really looked bizarre, but that wasn't the least of it all. But he nodded at the Hufflepuff silently, he can help whichever definition of help that was during the process and.... Vickers can leave him to clean up later. Heh.
But now several people were yelling, culminating in the grand, terrifying holler from Lafay. Sierra froze? What did Oakey do? Then Sierra started moving again-- just like Lewis!
Oh but wait "Slime?" his repeated eyes wide in palpable fear between Oakey and Sierra, finally resting on the now seething Slytherin Prefect. With a shaky gloved hand he points and utters "bodily-fluid contact."
Then his eyes goes straight to Lewis. Yes he has now known the painful truth about him and Kurumi, having given no validity to a gossip rag but my how his opinion have changed about it now. Eyes goes to the Gryffindor Prefect, just as someone yells out about Kurumi experiencing habitual freezing just as they were all witnessing now. And as if that weasnt enough, Kurumi freezes RIGHT BEFORE HIS EYES "Body fluid contact..." he repeated again. "Williamson could've gotten in from Roro, or the many animals in his care... this could be a water-borne disease, even moisture in the air-- spreads around the grounds-- that would explain why Professor Vindictus got it too." he said, in an eerily calm voice but one cant mistake the SHEER TERROR that is just shaking with every word.
His eyes returns now to Professor Lafay "Professor, do you still think this is a prank? Isnt it more logical, given the evidences happening right NOW, that we are in the midst of an outbreak? Right now in your classroom, with all of us in here? With Plimpies from the LAKE cut up and open and exposed in such a confined environment? he wants to drop in a fetal position and just CRY, so terrified now that he is seeing DEATH in the EYE. But no not before asking for his ONE HOPE "Can you administer that potion now please? I dont want to get what they've got. I want to graduate from Hogwarts. I want to live " The next step was removing the legs, and Stella gingerly had picked up the leg closest to herself before rotating it in ever wider circles until she heard a pop. Almost more of a snap, if she'd really wanted to think about it, and she'd flinched again a little at the sound before return ing to the scalpel to cut along the base of the leg which was now rather loose. Removing the leg, she'd gotten it halfway to the tray before she'd heard the professor raising her voice. Realizing that apparently she'd missed Sierra freezing and unfreezing like Lewis had, she dropped the leg onto the tray not quite as carefully as she had done with the fins before turning wide brown eyes to the still angry professor as people had started accusing yet another Hufflepuff of having caused all the chaos. Starting with Sierra herself, but the promise of points had seemed to spur others to join in. However, instead of jumping on the bandwagon, she tried to simply go back to removing the second leg from her plimpy, the pop getting lost in all the noise around her and oddly making the removal that much easier.
Until she'd heard Vickers speak up, and, after she'd gotten the second leg to the tray, she'd glanced over to see that Kurumi had frozen again as well. And then her fellow Ravenclaw and former Herbology partner's argument really registered, and her eyes widened again as she glanced down at her gloves. Body fluids, she thought, wanting more and more to just tear the gloves off and hide. Hopefully not freezing like the others. Until her thoughts had continued along the pathway they'd started on. We all got sprayed with the oil from Roro's bath. Does that mean we're all infected now? She was starting to feel like she wanted to agree with Vickers' plea for whatever antidote had been mentioned earlier, starting to get tired of crazy things happening at school and back to wondering why she had continued to take Potions. She would much rather be studying for her exams than worrying that she was going to end up catatonic due to baby oil or dead plimpies, and as far as she knew, nobody had frozen in the library yet.
