The four briefly exchanged relieved glances. When Jade had first arrived she seemed a little tense but now...now things were going much more smoothly and if they weren't mistaken she almost looked like she was starting to enjoy herself! At his outburst she couldn't help but giggle again. [B]"It's true though, he gets this cute little look on his face and starts acting all sulkly--it's the best, right Cameron?"
James looked over at Cameron immediately and tried silently pleading with him to disagree with Dia. This couldn't be happening--it couldn't! Was no one on his side?
"It's true, he's quite the thrill when he's upset." The opportunity was too good to pass up. James was steadily changing to a...redder colour. At the moment it was still barely noticeable but what did he think would happen when he told Dia such a easy lie to go off of? Oh...then again maybe he hadn't meant for anyone to know it was a lie but, he had known him for too long to fall for something as simply as that...even if Dia had. It was almost sad really; how she could have believed that was beyond him.
James sighed, sinking into the seat next to hers. "Don't believe a word they tell you, they stay up all night trying to think of ways to make me look bad." He said, shaking his head.
Dia suddenly looked very confused. "I thought we only did that for Lizzie..." The guys looked to her with wide eyes. Boy, she sure knew how to get a couple guys in trouble didn't she. By the time she realized what she had said all she could do was laugh nervously and share James some of the food.
Jade looked at Dia with an eyebrow raised. Why exactly was everyone looking so relieved? It wasn't as if she going to turn around and walk out the door just because of one comment. Yeah, she was still a little nervous but at least she coming out of her shell at least a little bit. She was interacting wasn't she? But then that would probably be why everyone looked so relieved. She glanced at James with a slight smile then looked back at Dia when she began speaking. She had actually believed James' little lie? Wait, why exactly was he lying? Why didn't he just tell them why they were stood in the hallway. She had nothing to hide and neither did he. They were only talking. And attempting to get her own nerves back to normal. Though right now her heart was skipping beats at what Dia was saying. Not at the top of her mind?
"Actually it was at the top of my mind" she replied still playing along with the little lie. Even if Cameron didn't appear to be buying it. She raised an eyebrow at Dia's next comment. How could he be more fun when he was pouting?
"How so?" she asked curiously.
She glanced at James once more before Dia began talking again. So now he looked cute when he was pouting? She couldn't argue with that. Though she hadn't actually seen him pout but the idea of him being cute was enough to make her smile.
"Now that I can imagine" she smiled, her gaze dropping on James. Great, now she was obviously making it obvious she was attracted to him. A thrill? How could someone possibly be a thrill when they were upset? Being upset just made people vulnerable to whatever joke people could think up to torment that person. But she wasn't going to argue. Now that would give a bad impression. As if she hadn't already!
She looked at James again hearing him begin to speak with a satisfied smile on her face. The only thing she wanted to believe was that he was cute when he pouted. The rest, she had no comment on! And she had no intentions of telling anyone what she was actually thinking. She really didn't want to be one of those people who made his friends dislike her. How awkward would that be? So instead she smiled comfortingly toward him.
"I don't think what they're saying makes you look bad" she responded. Wait, what exactly was she saying? Was she actually letting her own opinion leak into the atmosphere? Though it was only meant for James to hear.
