Kaitlyn stared at Professor Lafay and blinked.
"Oh dear," she whispered to herself. She hadn't realised that this would be what she'd be doing in this lesson, she really hadn't. But she knew she had grit her teeth and do it, the thing was already dead, it might as well be put to some use.

Okay it was time. Kat put on her gloves and took out her scalpel and her wand too. She said a cleaning spell and then put her wand back in her robe pocket. Gritting her teeth she moved the scalpel under the scales near the fin, then made an incision in it. Surprisingly quickly she was finished removing the fin from the plimpy. She was still in awe that they had simply disappear once she'd placed them on the tray.
Removing the legs? This would be worse, but she went on regardless. She removed the legs as quickly and carefully as possible, placing each one in the tray after she had cut them off.
Phew. Thank goodness she had finished that. Kat then proceeded to add more to her plimpy notes.
