He settled his hands down and slowly undid the ties on the fish/frog's legs.
wiping the sweat from his forehead he looked at the front of the class and began sketching his own drawing of a plimpy and labeled it's parts properly. Underneath the sketch he also wrote down the purposes of each of the parts as they were being called out.
Then the chaos began! He watched eyes almost popping from his head as Lewis stopped talking, another Hufflepuff falling, Lewis started talking again and Vickers freaking out at it all calling it a contagion and pestilence!
He looked at Mordy quickly again. Maybe it would be a good idea to search for is Rabbit's foot again, and get his four leaf clover back from Ella. Oakey didn't want this to happen to him!
Biting his inner cheek, Mordred tried his best not to laugh at the situation. He had to give it to Lafay though, when she blasted water on a student’s face. Hah. What a way to shut someone’s mouth. And then, the Hufflepuff Prefect started to talk again, as if nothing happened? If he was doing it on purpose, then he should say goodbye now to his last remaining happy moments.
He turned back his attention to the professor who demonstrated how to take out the parts of the Plimpies. Now, they’re talking. He closed his notebook and placed it in his book bag and retrieved his gloves from it. He wore them and pulled his work tray closer to him and got hold of the scalpel. As he cleaned the tiny blade, he caught Oakey glancing at him.
“What? Work on your Plimpy.” He said in a hushed tone. If he wants to go through this class without tasting Lafay’s wrath, then he should just do what he was told.
“Go on.” He said and looked back at his own Plimpy.
He carefully placed the blade underneath the scale and made a clean incision along where the fins are attached and carefully took one out and placed it on the empty tray beside him. A few seconds later, the fin disappeared—Mordred grinned and worked on another fin.
