He chuckled at 'aye'. "I guess I can never say 'aye' that... cutely," he said without even thinking it. If he had thought it over, he would have realised she could take it as flirting, which wasn't his intention for the first time in his life. He hoped she wouldn't be offended. He didn't want her to leave too.
Cheadle? He looked lost. "That's the first time I hear there." Not that he knew everywhere in Britain, but still he should have at least heard. He was eyeing the swamp in front of them as he repeated the name Cheadle when he heard a try of pronouncing his hard name. He smiled again as he looked directly into her eyes, waiting for what she got to say.
Oh. That. His smile got on a bit embarrassed side as he was silent for a moment, considering how he should answer. "Thank you, Delilah," he said softly, eyes glinting excitedly. He was pretty proud with it, actually, because that was the second time since summer that he managed a full patronus at the first try. "I can teach you if you want to." And he meant it in a very friendly way, not in the least trying to boast. He didn't have to impress her being Neves, he just wanted to be Joćo. Delilah tilted her head to the side. She'd said it cutely? ... But that was just how she said 'aye'. The younger Slytherin just grinned.
"Really?" She'd assumed that EVERYONE knew of Cheadle. "Well... It's near Manchester. Do you know where that is?" Delilah frowned, trying to think of how to describe where she lived. "There's lots of fields in cheadle... and farms. It's quite agricultural. But the towns look like normal towns. They don't look like countryside villages." Realising the Joao probably didn't care about Cheadle at all, the girl stopped her rambling; glancing down at her knees.
He would teach her how to conjure a patronus?? Delilah's eyes widened, full of suprise and hope. "Really?! You'd really teach me how to?!" She nearly hugged him. Then, her smile faltered; her eyes more sullen. "I'm not very good, though. I couldn't even conjure flowers in class." If she couldn't even do that, then how would she possibly be able to create something as impressive and advanced as a Patronus? |
