Alec grinned at Sophie and waved back. "Hey!" he said. And then... she started calling out to someone. Someone... new? Yeah, he had never seen this girl before. Ever. And this wasn't the same girl he had seen before. Nope! "Erm, hey Rose!" That was what she had said her name was, right? "I'm Alec. Alec Summers!" Because everyone should know just how summery his surname was.
And no, that's not why he liked eating ice cream a lot.
There was Ella! Ready to get what now? "I think I should be the one asking you that, Ells," he said, ruffling his hair, "You ready to get beaten by the cool dudes?" Or... dude. But he was still cool enough to beat all of them, right? Right. Messer was still in deep trouble for leaving him all alone like this. Alec looked over at the new girl and gave her a smile. "Hey Blue!" That was a nice name. "I'm Alec. Alec Summers." In case she didn't know. Which, now that he thought about it, she probably didn't.

THERE WAS A LURKER HERE! Alec's eyes grew wide as he looked at the new person who seemed to spring out from behind the bench. That Blue girl had sent a snowball at him and... it hit him right in the face! WOW! Alec could applaud the girl... but he felt kind of sorry for the dude. Even if that was a perfect hit. And the girls got her on their team! Her and Laura. And Ella and Sophie were pretty good at this as well.
The boys can still beat them!
Boy in the grey jumper... that was him! "HEY LURKER!" Why were they shouting? "WANNA JOIN MY TEAM?" 'Cause they were both boys... it made sense.
