Emerald had just sat herself down on the chair behind the counter when the door to the shop opened and Saul Bunyons in his usual cowboy hat sauntered towards her. When he came to a halt in front of her, she greeted him with a beam. "Evening, yourself Mr Bunyons." Glancing around the shop she commented as she looked over at him. "I'm good, the sales have been picking up lately. How are things on your end, Saul?" Emerald countered back.

Saul smiled a little, in spite of himself, if only 'cause Ms. Emerald always was nice ter talk to.

"Things are things," he answered, cryptically as usual. "Got some customers in, askin' bout th' coupons." He nodded toward the stack on her own counter. "And," Saul leaned in for this part, "I been hearin' some whispers 'bout th' other shopkeeps in town." He gave her a serious look, waitin' to see if she'd take the bait on that bit 'o gossip.
