The Prefect nodded and picked up his belongings. "Sure, let's go," he said. He bit his lip in attempt to hide the smile that wanted to make its presence. Sierra didn't know how glad he was to get up on a broom and cruise the air. Plus some Quidditch added to that, it made it even better.
Sierra hadn't said much else while they'd left the Defense classroom. Truth be told, she was still sort of on cloud nine after Kennedy had asked her to be his partner.
He had asked
her. Once out in the corridor, Sierra paused and turned to face Kennedy. Why was she suddenly so nervous? She was usually calm and confident, but now, standing here looking at Kennedy, she almost felt sort of nervous.
"So I'm free tomorrow," she said, shifting her weight from one foot to the other.
"We can talk to Vindictus and see if the pitch is free. I think we have to get his permission first before using any of the equipment." She had other questions, too. She wanted to know how things were going with Aurora, and if they were better or about the same. Kennedy seemed to be in a pretty decent mood, though, so she didn't want to rock the boat.
She nodded forward and started walking again.
"You heading back to the common room?" she asked. In other words,
walk me there.
