She almost relaxed when he'd said he didn't play. Only, it was absolutely impossible to when he said he cared. Shame. Why couldn't people either play Quidditch, or have no interest in it at all. Why were there people hovering around the middle. Unless, of course, they'd tried out and didn't make it. Then, she supposed, that was an excusable reason for this bi-loyalty-ness. Though, how embarrassing was that?
Will she work on tactics? Marcelo had to be kidding, right? "Not with that answer, I'm not," she said, placing a hand on her binder, keeping it closed. He wasn't going to see anything. They had to win this year, and even though she didn't think of Slytherin as the team to beat, she couldn't have them knowing her stuff, either.
Her eyes remained narrowed as she stared at the kid, anticipating his next move. Would he try and pry into Jacob's bag? Or take the binder that was already out away from her?
Or would he leave so she could finally use her birthday gift in peace?
Joćo raised his eyebrows at the advice, obviously surprised by such a suggestion. It took all his will not to snort and snap at the girl. Ravenclaws. They thought they were the only clever creatures in the
universe. But he wasn't going to snap at this girl, nope. Because he had to prove to She-who-should-not-be-named's friends that he was quite a nice guy when he wanted. So instead of a hot reply, he simply shrugged.
"Thank you for the advice," even then, it just wouldn't have felt right if he didn't make somewhere of his comment sarcastic,
"but I like Joćo much more, so I'll be using it with capable people." Saying that quite calmly. It would be
her fault if she took them offensive.
If she wasn't going to work on them now, why taking all those notebooks out and nearly killing him? He kept his eyes narrowed too and kept her gaze like that. They were both measuring each other up, obviously. At last, he looked away. Away at the tree to be more precise, because something that big moving in the corner of his eye was more that enough to distract him.
"Fine," he said, looking back at her again. Leaning on the tree, he directed his gaze at the tree and waited her next move. Because until she was settled down, he couldn't just start thinking.
