Minerva laughed a bit "Well I think my cheek might get chapped." why she did the goofy jokes with Maxwell she never knew, but it was just so easy. "I know what you mean, it does bug me a bit. I just ignore it to be honest. Half the time I don't even notice anymore or I just look away. I just think it's a big cultural difference, so I try to understand." She wasn't sure how much it really bothered her, but she could see Maxwell's point. She was feeling that something more might be going on behind their back, but she didn't want to admit it, she was enjoying her time with Damon and didn't want to lose it.
Maxwell smiled. "Well, I have faith in you." He said honestly, he was happy she at least got to try. How did everyone manage school and friends and everything else?
Maxwell laughed a little at her joke. He sighed. "I get that it's a cultural difference, but we're just as in their lives as they are in each others. Why do we have to be the understanding ones? We're from another place and they can't be understanding if their ways make us uncomfortable?"
'Especially with Damon's feelings...' He finished as a thought.
