Cornelius's eyebrows rose in mild understanding as Aspen introduced this new girl to be Taryn, a name he had heard several times. So this was Taryn! Taryn, the girl at the station that Aspen was talking about finding, the one with the boyfriend who graduated... The list continued as he recalled the various things Aspen had mentioned to him in the time they had known one another.

Right, so now she knew who random boy was, though he obviously couldn't introduce himself. Interesting. She'd been under the impression that Ravencalws were smart. At least he looked somewhat apologetic.

She was totally not over the whole August thing and now Aspen was kissing a boy in front of her. A boy named Cornelius, even.
"Taryn." She pointed to herself, "Yep, that's me." ASPEN'S BFF, check it, boy. She gave Cornelius a seriously considering look and then her eyes flickered to Aspen, then back to the boy.
"I've heard things about you." She wasn't going to say from who or if they were good things. Just things. About him.
"Oh! Taryn," he repeated, understanding flooding his expression as the girl pointed to herself in introduction. Cornelius stepped a bit forward to extend a hand to the girl in greeting, shaking her hand just a second later as he gave a brief one of his smiles,
"Cornelius. Nice to meet you."
Cornelius seemed unphased by Taryn's mild judgement; though it was tangible in the air, he didn't seem to notice or at least had to decency not to show it as Taryn evaluated him thoroughly with one of her looks. Though he couldn't help but glance down at himself for a split second to make sure that he didn't look ridiculous or anything. Upon finding his own uniform casually neat and his shoes dirty but not falling apart, he quickly returned his gaze to Taryn. Especially as she announced that she had heard things about him.
Heard things about him?!
What did
that mean? His eyebrows rose in surprise at her words, but there was still vague amusement on his lightly tanned expression.
"You've heard things?" He glanced to Aspen curiously before returning his gaze to Taryn.
"Like what?"
