Even though she had come to engage in the whole book club experience, she wasn't really doing anything proactive in regard to finding a partner. On the contrary, she was just sitting there, on her beanbag enjoying the atmosphere and the chit chat that was going on around her.
But when she heard her name, she'd snapped out of her thoughts and turned her attention to Ira.
"Oh yes absolutely, this ought to be fun," she replied smiling, awkwardly getting out of her beanbag to actually join Ira and form the partnership.
"Whatever it is we'll be doing... let's take everyone down yeah?" she asked holding up her hand for a high-five.
