Chapter Sixty Eight ‘I love you’
‘I love you too, we’ll be fine, don’t worry, have fun’
‘Harry…’
‘Go, now before I change my mind’ he grinned and kissed her again gently persuading her to the fireplace,
‘Could I not just give them breakfast?’
‘Gin, go or you’ll miss the port key from the station and Luna won’t be happy with you’
‘Hmm’
‘Honey, goodbye, we’ll be fine, I promise if there’s any problems I’ll call… your mother’ he smirked ‘I’ll call you if I have to ok, but you have two weeks to relax love and you need them’
‘But…’
‘Gin seriously’ he crossed his arms, looked stern and she bit her lip, kissed him gently and then stepped into the fireplace ruefully.
He smiled, said ‘Bye love’ to the empty room and then scratched his head, what to do now…
He woke the girls up and fed them before James even stirred. They were happily playing while he fed James, bathed and changed him and then set him down under the mobile to play while he got them dressed and ready for day care. He walked them down the road into town in a double pushchair and James gurgling in the sling at his chest.
He said his goodbyes, gave them each a kiss and let them run to meet there friends in the sand pit. He took James for a walk, went home and fed him before putting him down for a nap and starting on some work. He got through twelve case files, sent off Hedwig three times and fed James lunch before going to get the twins.
It went on for days, he was set in a routine and except for a few times ‘Where’s mummy?’ was uttered it was going well.
He’d explained she was going on holiday for a few weeks and that she’d be back soon. They were set and apart from the occasional advice and visits from Molly and Sophie with Harry he was well used to it. When it came to Ginny’s return she arrived with a tan and a smile and a hug for her brood.
‘I’ve missed you guys so much, give me James won’t you, I don’t want to let him go until he’s twelve’ she reached out for him happily and smiled as he gurgled at her.
