John had a very determined yet mischievous look on his face. This was something he didn't expect doing in class...and it was fun! He tuned Kennedy out for a sec, 'I wonder what would happen if I stick my head inside its mouth? John thought to himself causing a small chuckle, as he shook his head. Yup, he looked a bit crazy but he was just going to town with project.
"Nah dude, this is so cool! flesh eating plants are like dangerous and I like danger!" Johnathan beamed as it was one of the reasons why, he had enlisted is navy.
He began flossing the plant when suddenly...Snap! The floss snapped in half. His eyes widened "Uh-oh" he said as he looked up at Kennedy and with his eyebrows raised he fessed up "I broke it". Maybe he should let the Prefect, give it a go on this dental cleaning.
"Why don't you give it a go, I'm too strong for the dental floss." John teased as he decided to let Ken, floss the teeth.
He looked back at the notes he had taken and was still pretty enthusiastic, for this lesson.
Kennedy shrugged. He was more worried about the plant. John and his brute strength were capable of tearing the poor plant with that floss. Of course, Kennedy wasn't going to allow that to happen to Professor Bentley's plants. Uh-uh, he'd save them for her.
The Prefect caught John looking into the piranha's mouth just like he had. Unlike him though John would definitely try something if his curiosity got the best of him. Suddenly, Kennedy's thoughts were broken at the sound of a SNAP!

Oh Merlin. The boy hoped to all that was good that John had not snapped the plant's gums in half...or something. He looked down and released a breath of relief. It was the floss. PHEW!
"Merlin, for a minute there I thought it was the plant," he said. John better lay off the peas. Kennedy nodded and took the floss. He stretched it to make the string go in a straight line and attempted to floss the teeth. Except there was one problem. Now that he wasn't holding the piranha's jaw open he didn't have a good angle to start flossing.
He looked up.
"John, um, a little help," he said. Open it's mouth so he can get flossing.
