If it hadn't been for Selina, well, chances were the Kurumi wouldn't even have been eating.
NOT that any of this was important right now, and Kurumi turned her attention back to the toothbrush in her hands. Alright, so she would be brushing. This shouldn't be too bad, especially since the plant appeared to be rather docile at the moment.
Or maybe it could be. Merlin that was AWFUL. "I-I-I guess he hasn't had his teeth brushed in a-a-a-awhile..." Or...he just had terrible morning breath. Plugging her nose with one hand, Kurumi began to run the brush over its fangs, making sure to be a little extra gentle around the gums.
Penny tried not to giggle at the two of them but it didn't work out too well. The smell was awful and the look on Kurumi's face was priceless. She had only just met the Prefect but she had a calm confidence that wasn't lost on Penny. Not to mention that she could only imagine what her own face looked like.
Carefully she adjusted her grip so that she could get the mouth open wider and turned up so that Kurumi could get to the teeth easier. She felt a little resistance from the plant, like it was trying to shake off her hands but the attempt was feeble. Resolutely the Ravvie held on until the resistance passed.
Phew!
To sooth her nerves she latched onto Kurumi's last spoke words, talking always seemed to help her in tense situations.
"Even if it's teeth had been brushed yesterday his breath would still stink. He's a carnivore who eats meat and slowly digests it's food. That smell is his food rotting in his stomach." Okay, so she probably knew that but it was how she got a hold of her rampant nerves. She was a Ravenclaw after all and spouting useless information calmed her.
