OKAY, let's get things right. This boy had a lot of things wrong in him but most importantly he didn't get ANY of Louisa's sarcastic comments.

This assignment was not going to go smoothly, the girl knew it even more now.

She stared at him for a few seconds after they'd reached the finger chopping plant. "I know the professor's name. I was mocking her." What? Being a Prefect didn't mean she couldn't be upset at whoever handed them flesh-eating plants as puppies.

"No. I don't think it's safe... which's why I pushed you first." Duuh. She was still partially protecting her body by standing behind him, so she tilted her torso and looked at the waist-high plant. "Maybe we should just start... brushing... its teeth before it woke up?" Pause. "It doesn't even have eyes to know when it's not sedated anymore..." Was it even sedative-ly asleep or just paralyzed?

The girl's eyes glanced around and spotted the big brush and... the flossing CORD they were supposed to use. She happily left Lewis to check on the deadly plant and grabbed the brush. It was settled, he needed to make sure the plant's teeth were always accessible for Louisa to brush them. Because she was not going to touch the plant. Not in this lifetime. Dealing with a non-sarcastic person was hard enough.

When she stood behind Lewis again, her favorite spot today, Louisa prodded him on the shoulder. "Go on, hold its mouth for me." That sounded like a nasty dentist order.

"I...err...Louisa?" Lewis stuttered as he stumbled closer and closer towards that scary plant. Why him? At least she was there by his side too...or behind him somewhere actually. Once they were close enough that if they took another step forward that thing would be able to bite off any vital part of their bodies if it hadn't been sedated, Lewis just stopped moving and instead settled with just staring at the plant cautiously.
