On the other hand, he made a valid point.
"Yes indeed, tooth decay in plants can lead to infection and long term health issues, toxins and other bacteria do play a role in that."

"Brilliant responses team," she concluded giving them her own small round of applause. "Along with the obvious health risks including starvation, infection and other health issues including root inflammation, leaf loss and stem degradation, the ability to defend themselves is also impeded." She paused to allow students to take notes, in case they hadn't been already. "But also, as Miss Odessa just mentioned, domestic plants and indeed wild plants, pose a risk to us as well. If you're bitten by a plant with poor dental health then bacteria, toxins and blood born viruses or diseases become a risk factor to your health."
"For this reason," she continued, "it's important to know how to look after your flesh eating plant and to ensure that you're aware of the condition of those teeth."
Now came the fun bit.
"In the wild, flesh eating plants use a very different method to maintain their teeth than we do. While we opt for the toothbrush, which is a rather useful invention, plants do not have that luxury. Rather, they often use bark, branches and even the sinew from their prey to clean their teeth."
"Today however, we will be using other implements."
Which were still rather fun.
"Now, you all need your dragon hide gloves, if for some silly reason you don't have yours on your person, you may borrow some from the stores cupboard," she said indicating to the wooden structure next to them by the door.
"Once you have them on, follow me. Bring your wands with you... though you won't need them."
And with that, she led them a little further into the greenhouse where the work stations were set up.
"Come along," she called behind her.

Dylan smirked as his answer was recognized as a good one. Yes, he was awfully brilliant at times...when he
applied himself...
...And he did happen to have gloves in his bag. After an unfortunate incident in Second Year at his American school, never again would he be caught without them...
Bending down to pluck the gloves from his bag, he
*side/eyed* noticed a girl giving him a look/nod thing...and her hair totally had a reddish tint to it. Blinking back at her pretty face, Dylan began to smirk.
He really did
love red hair.
She was racing off in the next instant, however, and he just laughed. Girls were so funny/adorable sometimes. He'd have to make it a point to grin at her later. Nodding to himself to confirm that though, the blonde followed her path over, doing up his own gloves as he went.
Now, to figure out how to snatch one of these lovely plants...
