No way! I never personally have any food or drink around me whatsoever when I'm around books. Books are precious items that need as much care as something very personal to you! I'm always collecting books for reading, study, and the like, and care for each one as if it were a precious metal.

By having a drink or food around books, you risk spilling something on the books and causing irreparable damage to them!

Is the library supposed to be a center for drama or learning? (pick one of them, explain why)
Learning, it drives me absolutely bonkers when we have people come into the library bickering and complaining, fighting and yelling about nonsense. How can anyone get anything done, when you have to listen to others sit and fight in the next row of books? There is no need to bring drama into the library where people are trying to study or even just read in peace!
