"Oh I'm doing okay, you know, I'm sure I'll be better once we have some food on the table though." He managed a REAL smile now that his face was all warmed up from shouting and doing a spittake and talking and all that. "How are you? Did you enjoy the rest of your summer?" Aw, so the problem was just hunger? It should be cured in a jiffy then.
"Shouldn't have to vait long then, I suppose." Gone was the tad concerned look and a smile was in it's place. She'd actually missed the Hogwarts food during the summer days. It was comforting.
She nodded. "I did. Perhaps too much? The trip back here vos hard to take." Though that didn't mean she didn't enjoy being back here in the school. She did love it. Certainly easy to get back into the swing of things. "How about you?" Quote:

I'm Kurumi Hollingberry, one of the Gryffindor prefects.," Kurumi said with a polite bow towards the peacock the blonde professor and somehow managed to dodge the shower that had been Professor Williamson.
She then glanced back at her own table and figured that she shouldn't linger here for too much longer. Here was another familiar face.
"Good evening, Miss Hollingberry." she greeted in return. The young Gryffindor always had nice greetings. "I hope the train ride vosn't too long for you all." The idea itself was amusing when she heard of it the term before. It did indeed sound...long.
No doubt she herself would fall asleep if there were nothing to do. Quote:

Oh her bracelets? Her new friends were just so kind to appreciate her outfit tonight, first Willy looking at her dress and now this! "Oh thank you very much, I got a few of them in London, some from Edinburgh, and this one from my mother." she pointed at the least flashy of them all, the plain silver bangle.
And then there was the matter of the woman's accent. Where in the world did that come from? She would ask at a more approriate time. Yeah. Her...auora?
"No, not on a regular basis." she admitted. She'd never been complimented on her...auora...before. Medea was still weighing in whether it'd be something she was fascinated with or not when she spoke up again. "I do meditate a great deal though, if it's vorth anything."
Oh, so she wouldn't have to go far to take a peak at some others in the area. "They are indeed lovely." she said, eying all of them, including the one given by the mother. Just as special. "I may take a few trips around there in the future." Perhaps to buy, or maybe just browse. She'll just wait and see. Quote:

But it wasn't up here. "Seren. Taters." Dash greeted his closest colleagues with thin smile, unintentionally showcasing the large gash on his lower lip. Quote:

She was NOT looking forward to making small talk with a new Astronomy Professor. Her only saving grace was the two Astronomy Professors she'd sat next to during her tenure at Hogwarts, weren't big talkers. She'd only hope the same could be said for the new one.
She was soooo out of it, that she didn't even notice the feather-wearing blond in the Divination Professor's seat. Quote:

Smiling at them all, she called down a loud enough "Good evening everyone," and sat in her seat, pouring herself a goblet of water. Medea couldn't help but be a little happy to see she wasn't the only one who still needed to arrive at the feast before, although now half the fact was that she seemed to be in better shape then most of them. Just what happened during their summers?
Or the past few hours at that.
Shaking the curious thoughts, she nodded and smiled to those who arrived at the staff table, half tempted to put a small rod under the Arithmancy Professor's chin to keep her head up from the table.

Her eyes lingered on the HufflePuff table as she tried to spot her son.
He had better not be one of them using his outside voice inside or he would certainly would be made to answer for her. She turned her eyes to the Slytherin table where she had sat many years ago. Ah yes, memories.
At the end of her nostalgia, she made her way to her seat giving a nod to each professor she passed, before settling into her seat. And before she knew it, someone else was in her line of vision, sitting in the Charms Professor's seat. Someone who was not Althea. Oh dear, after having that momentary expectation to see Edvard in his seat, she expected Althea to be in hers as well.
The wonders summer did to one's memory...
New people meant new personalities. "Good evening." she smiled. She was nice, right? Mostly everyone here was, so there was hope! |
