As Jory sat at the Puff table, he looked around. He spotted loads of familiar faces and the new students as well. He hoped the new Puffs would be really hard working to help defend the three titles they'd won last year.
Jory scanned the Gryffindor table for Ari and the Ravenclaw table for Gwen. But he didn't see either of them. It was their fourth year, and the boy wondered where the time went so quickly. It seemed only yesterday he was being sorted.
"Fourth year, here I come,'' Jory thought cheerfully.

Jory stared at the first year who sat down not far from him and had a glower on his face. Jory guessed instantly what the problem was.
"You're not happy about being placed in Hufflepuff, are you?'' he asked. The boy reminded him of a first year last year whom had also resented being in Hufflepuff.
"What are they getting so worked up about?'' Jory wondered.
