Daichi could just see that Beezus was clearing the smoke with her hand as well and after a minute or so the Snake coughed loudly and the smoke dissappeared. Well...the harm wasn't THAT bad! His dormitory looked worse once. So was the grounds last year and the room of requirement had been a war zone when he looked at this.
The stones that were supposed to be the edge of the fountain lay crumbled up on the ground. The water inside the wishing fountain flowed over the broken edge and wetted his shoes. Daichi turned to Beezus and gulped. "Sorry, i always blow stuff up when i'm excited..." he said truthfully Y-you know how to repair a f-fountain?" he asked "B-because if you can't ...then i'm out of here!" He clearly remembered Bentley saying she would take points the next time she caught him destroying something and he did not want that.
Gulp. Gulp. Gulp. Beezus couldn't help but gulp thrice in a row when that scene met her eyes shortly after the smoke has cleared off.
"Oh My Godric," she whispered more likely to herself as she stared unbelievingly at the view that met her eyes. The fountain looked deformed now, like a part of it has just been slashed off by a huge ax that caused its debris' to be scattered everywhere and of course, the water from it was flowing out of the large basin-like structure of the fountain.
She could hear Daichi saying something but she couldn't understand any of it. For almost two years of her stay at Hogwarts, this was the first time she ever witness something to take place. And she knew that the next things to happen was bound to be unpleasant. Beezus sighed deeply, and turn to the Slytherin.
"Huh?...what?" Did he just ask her if she could repair the fountain?
WAS HE NUTS?!
"I...a..maybe...I think...well, we could...I mean..there's a..there's a mending charm..Re.." Beezus started breathing heavily. She was scared for Merlin's sake!
"Repa..Reparo? Something like that," the eaglette told him and without even thinking, she pointed her wand at the ruined fountain and muttered the incantation. The pieces of crumbled stone slowly moved seemingly back to form the fountain, leaving the waters behind. Well, at least the fountain would be back right? Beezus was about to gave off a sigh of relief when suddenly... the crumbled pieces of the ruined damaged fountain that was supposedly plastered back to place exploded then and there, pulverizing the already ruined pieces. Of course, she froze on the spot with her eyes almost popping out of their eyelids and her mouth dangling open at what just happened.
