The Kisapaths | Sila!Roti | -2 | TouchableHair | ToiletPaperGuy | QueenOfConfusion Lewis just couldn't help it. He had to smile a little when she told him that she was sorry for not remembering. Because that meant two things: 1) She didn't apologize for the kiss and 2) she WANTED to remember it too. Meaning that she wasn't glad she had forgotten, that she didn't regret it. Or not enough to wish to forget about it. It was probably wrong, since she looked extremely upset about it but he just couldn't stop himself from smiling. This was good news. Kind of anyway.
As soon as he realized that he was smiling for completely selfish reasons, his face fell again into a concerned frown as he watched her trying to come up with a solution or at least an explanation to this mess. Kurumi looked confused. Confused and somewhat upset. Which was only understandable seeing as there were chunks of her memory missing...or at least locked away somewhere in the back of her brain. Only why? This didn't make any sense. And seeing her like this was just...well, he could feel a twist in his stomach every time he looked at her.
When she smiled at him all of a sudden, Lewis looked back down, blushing a little. He should tell her that there was no need to apologize. Only...if she stopped he was afraid that she would forget about wanting to remember. And then, maybe she would never remember. So even if it was completely selfish and he hated himself for that he just nodded slowly, more to himself than to her. OH NO! He knew that look on Kurumi. And he also knew what had caused it. Why had he thought it would be different than last time? At least she didn't turn her back on him now. "I-I did. It was pink...ish. But it's fine, really. I don't care." Okay he had panicked there a little and had just started babbling. The last part could be taken the wrong way, though. Ugh. "I mean...it's...it looks good either way." Lewis finished awkwardly chewing on his lower lip again, this time pointedly not looking at her.
Maybe he shouldn't have brought up the whole hair thing in the first place.
The way she kept hugging herseld, made him want to hug her too. Only of course he did nothing of the like but instead just continued to watch her closely. "What?! No. Not at all. Why would you think that?!" Lewis gaped at her, turning towards her fully as he completely missed the fact that she hadn't been entirely serious. Why would she think that he thought them seeing each other more was a bad thing? That they needed an excuse to see each other? WHAT?!
Her reaction was somewhat...confusing. So he HAD done something wrong. He probably should have hugged her. By not doing anything he'd probably only made things more awkward between them. Why else would she be shuffling her feet like that? "I...I'm sorry, I didn't know if it would be okay to hu-" He trailed off when she went on talking. Oh. Okay, now he just felt a little silly. "Er. Nevermind then." Next topic please. Even though he REALLY didn't get why she didn't like celebrating her birthday. He liked birthdays. So when she went on talking about how he shouldn't feel bad not knowing hers - which he only realized now WAS kind of embarrassing - Lewis shook his head a little. "Why not?" It was probably not a very appropriate question but SHE had brought it up and he really wanted to know what was going on inside her head.
Not only about her birthday but that was a good start.
Shifting a little so he got a closer look at her recipe book, Lewis tried to read all the titles of the pages she flipped through. At some point he just gave up and decided to trust her to choose something. "So...what are we doing? .....baking I mean." He didn't quite know what they were doing so he'd decided to focus on the baking for now. |
