Ella's eyes grew wide as the ingredients in front of her seemed to glow as they were named. That was a cool trick. She wasn't too keen on the whole mucus thing and the thought of slime put her off a bit but she sucked it up. Pulling the mortar in front of her, the first year cleaned it before adding the ingredients. In went half the juice, the mucus, the fangs, and lastly the slime. It made quite a disturbing looking mixture of stuff. Then, Ella did her best to crush the fangs in the liquids, watching as the color slowly turned. The badger sighed, wondering why it was taking so long to turn purple...had she done something wrong? She continued the crushing until finally, the mixture was the bright purple color that the Professor had described. Phew! Ella looked at the uh-goo, and carefully added it to her boiling water. Then she poured the rest of the juice in too. While waiting for further instructions, the first year cleaned the mortar.
