Evelyn couldn't help but laugh again. Sammy was funny..and they were getting along so she was happy. "Well..I'm not a fan of parties but..I decided to come to this one. You know, house pride and all."
"Well they're not quite as bad, but that's the only melodramatic show I could think of" Sammy said with a small giggle. Some people said that Doctor Who was melodramatic, even more so since Moffat took the reins but Sammy just thought it was the most amazing show ever. Simple as that.
"Sixth, and you?" she said, gosh saying it made her feel so old. Next time she was at Hogwarts she would be a seventh year. And would be expected to study for her NEWTs. Horrifying. Sammy had discovered back in fifth year that her and studying for long periods of time did not go well together, she ended up getting distracted for hours by the smallest things. For example, a loose thread on her cloak.
Sammy smiled. As much as she thought Eve was a little weird for not liking parties, she was nice AND she was a Hufflepuff and only cool people got sorted into Hufflepuff. Which was totally the reason Sammy was there.
"it's hard not to show house pride for such an awesome house" she said in a matter of fact tone. Sammy knew all about house pride, hell, she was the one with her Hufflepuff tie around her head in an attempt to contain the curls.
