A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
The niffler on his desk hadn't been affected by the spell and was still sniffing the shiny object as well as growling at him when he tried to pet the creature. Daichi decided to practise a few more times before he would try the spell on the niffler and after another three practises he managed to get purple smoke out of the wand.
It was the same kind of smoke the others had and he had seen some of the students petting their creatures. Pointing his wand at the growling thing, he circled it and with a flick of his wand he said: "Malin Calin!"
Purple smoke flew towards the creature and surrounded it's body in a sort of purple fog. For a moment, Daichi couldn't see what was happening to the niffler because his spell had been a little stronger than he thought, making the smoke not see through. Something that had surprised Daichi more himself than anyone else. As the niffler became visible again, he placed his wand on the table and reached for it to try and pet it.
Slowly, slower than he wanted, he extended his hand. Biting his lip in concentration as he and the niffler looked eye to eye. There was a moment of tension in which Daichi was sure it would snap at his hand again but when he petted the niffler's fur he let out a shaky breath of relief. The creature started to wiggle its tail and rolled over to its side so that Daichi could pet him there.
ITWASSOCUUUUTE~!
So... now what? Daichi looked at the board to read the next instruction.
