Ella continued to pet the niffler, feeling slightly more confident that it wasn't going to eat her or something equally horrifying. She slowly slid out of her seat, sitting in front of the creature, while she continued to scratch its head. "Nice niffler, you aren't so bad. Now don't get all crazy...I'm just going to-" Slowly, very slowly, she used her left hand to try and get the shiny object from the nifflers mouth while continuing to pet it with her right. After several attempts to tug the object from the niffler's mouth, Ella brought her right hand down and with both hands pulling, was able to successfully take the object. She looked at the niffler wide eyed, realizing it now had nothing in its mouth to distract it from her. Luckily, it didn't even seem angry that she had taken the object. Ella quickly placed it on her desk and placed her hands back on the niffler, patting it gently. "There we go, good boy. Good niffler." She had done it! She had actually done it! Ella smiled as she moved back into her seat.

Ella held the shiny object in the palm of her hand, wondering why nifflers were so attracted to shiny things. Perhaps they were like the pirates of the creature world, extremely attracted to treausre. She looked down at the niffler, amused by her thoughts. "Argggg." She said, giggling. The niffler's only response was to blink several times. With one more glance down at the 'treasure,' Ella held her palm out to the niffler. "This belongs to you now, thanks for not...you know...hurting me." Seriously! Coming away with only a few scratches was totally fine considering what Ella had imagined might happen. She smiled at the niffler sniffed the object then scooped it into its mouth and happily returned to trying to eat the thing.
