Ella walked up to Madam Poppy and grabbed one of the shiny trinkets in her hands. She glanced nervously over at the nifflers and made eye contact with the one closest to her. With a slight shrudder, Ella crouched down and held the shiny object out a little in front of her. She began walking slowly backwards, careful not to bump into anyone, trying to catch the attention of the creature. "Here niffler niffler niffler...come and get it."

Slowly, very slowy, Ella led one of the nifflers back to her seat. She was eying the creature cautiously the entire time, not wanting it to get overly excited and pounce her. When she had arrived at her spot, she sat and held the object out towards the niffler. She hadn't anticipated the creature's reaction as it waddled right up to her and tried to get up her legs to the shiny object. "Ow, your nails-erm claws-that hurts!" Ella said, frowning at the creature. She quickly threw the object to the floor, watching as the niffler took it with pleasure. Rubbing her legs, she addressed the niffler with raised eyebrows,"Wow. Guess you like that, huh?" Now to try and get it away...

Ella reached for her wand and mentally practiced the incantation. Then, with a circle and a flick, "Malin Calin!" Nothing. That's what happened after Ella was done. She looked at the niffler to double check, hoping it had somehow let go of the object but the niffler was happily sniffing the shiny thing. "I'll get it next time." Ella said, not knowing what had gone wrong.
