Someone like her? Louisa chuckled softly at his spontaneous sentence, "Someone like me?" Oops, that didn't help very much. She cleared her throat and tried again, "I like the way you think. And we got along very well yesterday so.. why not?" Even if he counted this as a date, it wasn't like Louisa was against it. She only was tired of getting worked up over how to trust someone and see correctly into them. Maybe going with the flow would do her better this time.
Helping herself to one of the mini quiches, Louisa nodded confirming her story. "They're probably keeping him under their noses. He made a lot of havoc the end of last term. Cute little creature but gets on your nerves sometimes as does a younger brother." She swallowed a bite, "Do you have any siblings?" Getting-to-know-you question.
Emrys felt himself blush as he popped a couple pigs-in-a-blanket in his mouth. Yeah, someone like you, he wanted to say. Someone pretty, intelligent and at least apparently socially aware. But mostly the pretty.
He let it go, nodding as she told the story about the baby elf. He smiled at her description. He could only imagine the havoc a baby house elf could cause.
Putting his hands behind his head, he laid down on the blanket, looking up at the sky.
"I have a younger sister," he said softly.
"She's eight and so different from me," he began.
"She's bold and confident and she tells me that I'm her hero." His voice caught in his throat, thinking about the day when she realized her hero was nothing but a bumbling coward.
"Her name is Amelia."
Emrys tried to discreetly wipe his eyes. He missed her. A lot. And the thought of letting her down and made him rather reflective. And perhaps a little teary.
"What about you?"
