"Oh just trying to assert himself as the dominant male here," he mused not coming right out and saying what happened seeing as it appeared his yearmate probably already knew by the look on her face. Then Jezz stepped up asking about Walnut and the indentity of the cat's owner. "That would be Kurumi's misbehaving kitty," Gideon commented with a shake of the head. though inwardly agreeing with Selina as she muttered, close enough to vaguely hear what was said.
"Aye...luckly I do," he answered glacing at the ruined shoes once more. The older boy half-tempted to just throw them into the fire, stopped when he realized it would probably make things toxic and smelly.
Everything suddenly turned into chaos very fast. Her private conversation with Gideon, although had at the end turned a little awkward, had gone from an intimate affair to what seemed like the entire common's business. It seemed that being in Gryffindor came with a few things she would have to learn to deal with now that she and Gideon barely had time to see one another and that was little to no privacy. She blamed the cat. He just had to pee on Gideon... he had some sort of complex. The cat needed therapy.
But the Common Room became more crowded when Kurumi came in and exclaimed about Walnut's urination patterns. Then Jezz, the sweet little first year who used to stumble through all of her sentences, suddenly was very interested in what had happened to Gideon. It was not Selina's fault but she suddenly felt very crowded and was at a loss of what to say because everyone else was talking at the same time.
She slunk back into the smaller couch that the pair of them were now sitting on, but had a hard time getting comfortable. Gideon was bigger than she was and this couch was more of a one person thing than a two person thing. So she stood up from her seat and looked at Jezz,
"The kitty has sharing issues and didn't like the fact that Gideon and I were sitting in his usual spot... so he peed on Gideon. Ruddy cat."
Then she turned her head to Kurumi and said,
"And you! Get your cat to wear diapers or something. He has to stop peeing on people."
