83. Escaping His Grasp

He was after her. She could hear it in the ruffling of the leaves as she ran for her life. None of the others were near, nor did they even know she had left.

Darting forward with much determination, Edward was getting closer and closer to her body. One more reach of his outstretched arm and he would have Amethyst.

She felt it. She felt the hand reaching for her. She was scared, and had never been so fearful in her entire life.

She had to fight. Deep within she didn't want to be take from her family. She had to fight back.
