Gideon watched and waited as Selina turned around and faced him, realizing that he might have caught her off guard with her call by her reaction. Perhaps she was just as out of it as he was and had been blindly making her way up to the dorms. He couldn't help but tilt his head with a raised eyebrow though as he listened to her answer to his own words. And it was then he started his slow move around the couch towards her.
"Oh...well I guess not," he replied trying to think of what to say in response. Selina was being cryptic and hiding and he didn't want to push her away. "Its just...I was worried about ye. " Which he certainly had been...it must have been so very horrible to incapacitate her and make her miss quidditch. That was another thing he was quite sure of which had only made him more concerned.
When he said that he thought not Selina nodded her head and turned to look in the direction of the dorms. Perhaps, since it seemed that she was in the clear, she could just excuse herself for a bit and then head on up to her dorms. Sleep off whatever funk she had been in since her never ending onslaught lately of visions. Just as she was about to excuse herself from the Common Room, she turned around and faced Gideon. He paused and then said that he was worried about her. Maybe it was her tiredness acting up or maybe it was just because she had missed him, but she let out a very heavy sigh. Without even hesitating she said,
"I'm so sorry. For everything. I should have been at the game, I ruined everything. You must be so mad at me... I wouldn't blame you if you were. I just- I don't even know what to say."
She took a few steps toward Gideon, cautiously of course not knowing if he was still angry with her or not, and then continued on,
"I am sorry... truly." She was sorry for a lot of things. She was sorry for her cursed ability, for missing the game, for letting her team down, for being a bad girlfriend to him, for everything. She was truly sorry.
