Harry Potter actors Daniel Radcliffe, Bonnie Wright, Jamie Campbell Bower, Gary Oldman, Kenneth Branagh, Ralph Fiennes, Jim Broadbent, Helena Bonham Carter, and John Hurt attended the 2012 Orange British Academy Film Awards, where Deathly Hallows: Part 2 won best visual effects, given to Tim Burke, John Richardson, Greg Butler, and David Vickery.

The finale of the Harry Potter series lost out in the Sound, Production Design, and Makeup categories to Hugo and The Iron Lady, respectively. John Hurt also received the Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema Award this evening, an accolade given to the Harry Potter series last year.
