While Giddy wrestle with the vines Kacie continued to inch her way closer and closer to the snargaluff until she was within reach to reach in and grab a hold of the pod. She groaned as she bit her lip, briefly closing her eyes as she stretched out her arms to their full extent and let her fingers wrap around the pod. Her eyes didn't stay close for long because the darkness behind her lids only contributed to allowing her imagination run wide with imagines of her evil snargaluff, forcing her eyes to fly back open.

Kacie tugged at the pod, trying to pull it loose. Please don't eat me. Please don't eat me. Please don't eat me. She thought, all of her concentration shifting to getting the pod that she was no long worrying about the vines since it was Giddy's job to hold them. So she didn't notice the first two vines that Giddy had tied, slowly coming undone the more they wiggled.

"I GOT IT!!!" She yelled to Giddy, the moment the pod popped free and she pulled her arm out of the stump before it really did eat her. She was actually quite pleased with herself that she had faced a snargaluff and won... well almost won. As Kacie turned to quickly get away with her prize only to come face to face with the first two vine who had just freed themselves of the knot. Uh oh!!!

She stood there petrified to the spot. Her mind running wild on her again and she didn't even need to close her eyes. The world seemed to be spinning with evil eyes and that mouth from the snargaluff in dream... ready to devour her if only the vines caught her.

I'm DOOMED! DOOMED!! DOOMED!!!

Was the only thing going through her head as she stood there, as one vine started to wrap around her. Kacie eyes looked ready to roll up into her head on the verge of fainting from the shock, unable to conquer this fear of hers.
