When Kurumi entered the room, she was glad that everyone's backs were to her as it gave her enough time to wipe away any stray tears that may still be there. If any remained, she could just pass them off as being because of the cold January weather.
Kurumi set her trunk down by one of the chairs and sat down, too emotionally and physically exhausted to climb up the stairs just yet.
Adam was watching some people play wizard's chess, but got immediately bored. He had never gotten into it, or understood it for that matter of fact. Growing more bored by the second, he got up, stretched his feet from the couch an looked around.

Kurumi!" Adam called out to her excitedly. He jogged up to her side. Was "New Years" the appropiate word to use? They hadn't really ever talked much about Japanese New years, or when it happened or how. "
Umm..Happy New Years?" Adam said in a wondering tone.
