One thing living with sisters had taught him was that they usually added bits of truth in with the lies to make stew of everything. Now Edvard wondered what was true and what wasn't in this child's story. Thoughtful he asked the Slytherin "Has Professor Lafay drunk or eaten anything since you got here?" If Hecate had then that could been the reason she was all giddy and singing.

Edvard turned his attention to Hecate for a moment who was all giggly. Smiling warmly at her he replied seriously. "Of course Hecate. I worry about the well-being of all my colleagues." Then Hecate started singing Twinkle little star and Edvard knew it was an impossible feat to get something more useful out of her.

Averting his gaze from Hecate he watched how as the Slytherin student made a break for the door. In a few strides the Astronomy Professor had manoeuvred himself to stand in front of the door. The student's wasn't leaving until Hecate had her wits back. For all Eddie knew the student could be responsible for his colleagues giddiness and singing. Eyeing her he said "Not so fast, dear. Your head of house needs you, you wouldn't want her to leave you stranded if you were sick or out of sorts, would you?"
