Lights was actually feeling better now she'd talked to someone other than Ethan or Eleri about Naomi. Eleri had her own issues to deal with and Ethan ... Ethan was protective at the best of times. So talking about it with people other than her family was productive.
... Then Sabel offered ice-cream. Her smile widened and her eyes lit up. "That sounds great!" Ice-cream! Lights loved ice-cream, even more than bouncy balls. And she certainly wasn't afraid of Sabel thinking her childish because of it. She checked her watch. "Wow, that's the longest I've ever spent in a lift."
