Puffapods were rather interesting in Amelia's opinion, but that didn't really mean that she was inclined to want to harvest the things. Especially after the description and demonstration that Professor Bentley gave them. But she supposed it might not be too bad with the protective gear on.

She quickly wrote down the steps to the activity from the blackboard:

Harvesting Puffapod Seeds

[1] Put on your protective gear.
[2] Using the scalpel make an incision down the side of the pod, from top to bottom.
[3] Insert your hand into the incision and remove the seeds from the membrane. (You should get around 4 or 5)
[4] Collect the seeds into the bags provided, remove the remaining membrane from the plant by simply pulling it off the stem and place it in the compost heap.
[5] Tidy up your work space and wait for further instructions.

You will need: Scalpel, apron, latex gloves, calico bag.

When she was done this, she found her equipment under her seat. She put on her apron first (not surprisingly it fit her perfectly), then her latex gloves were put on carefully. Next, she grabbed her scalpel and held it in her right hand, ready to get to her harvesting.

But she wished that she was given a protective mask or something. What if this thing decides to squirt me in my face? She shuddered now.
