Sierra sat there, all decked out in her new Astronomy attire. She didn't look very pleased about it, but she'd wear it for the sake of precious house points toward Slytherin house. She peered at her name tag:

Yup, everything was there. Peering up at the professor, she raised her hand. "Lots of things in the sky can affect our magical world. Last year, you and Professor Bentley taught us how the moon can affect plant growth, and we use magical plants in lots of things--like potions," she said. "There's other connections, too, like...to creatures. The mooncalf only comes out during the full moon, so we can use what we know about the moon's phases to predict when the mooncalves will come out."

She shrugged. "So I think we study Astronomy, because so many things in the sky affect us here in the magical world," she added. "Oh, and one more thing--some people believe you can predict the future from studying the sky." Not Sierra, though. She still wasn't really convinced that Divination was worth anything.
