Gideon had managed decently through the courses behaviorwise though he wasn't the best at answering the questions. His mother might be a great cook but dinners at home as well as his other family members homes were usually not quite so elaborate for him to know the seemingly fancy rules. That was other then the ones that seemed more common sense or easily pickupable from those he mimiced when learning.
As he finished the lasanga course, he placed his fork on the plate as directed and absently watched as the plates were swapped out by magic, empty for full. That was another thing he was unused to...using magic for everything in a meal. And it did appear odd to be so widely used in a muggle studies lesson.
Gideon brushed it off as he began to eat from the main course, cutting a small piece of meat or potatoe for each bite. He ate at a leisurely pace as he mulled over the professor's question. Having an idea, he took a sip from his water glass to swallow before raising his hand to answer. "Ye would simply place yer silverware on your plate and leave it be. Perhaps rest yer hands on yer lap."
