SPOILER!!: Kurumi & Selina

She had been denied the joy of baking all of last year, and now she was living it up. Upon Selina's request, she had baked some red velvet cupcakes - which had been difficult to do because the Quidditch captain insisted on eating them almost as quickly as they had come out of the oven. Adam had asked for something with chocolate, so Kurumi answered reluctantly with some chocolate cupcakes and marzipan hats on top. There was also chocolate fudge, English tea cakes and, of course, some sugar cookies with blueberry frosting made to look like little hats. The fifth year's favorite addition to the sweets was, surprisingly, not her signature cookies but the vanilla lollipops that the three of them had sculpted to look like wizard hats. She had insisted on the Mickey Mouse ears being added. Made everything look more cute.

Of course, no party would be complete if there were only sweets. It just wasn't healthy! They had asked the house elves for help this time and they had delivered with an array of sandwiches. There was a tea set with enough cups for everyone and Gryffindor House's very own special blend of tea provided by Professor Bentley's personal herb garden. But perhaps the first thing that drew your eye when you approached the study table was the Sorting Hat cake and cake knife. It had been charmed to serve whoever asked for a piece, so one need only say, "Cake, please" and a perfect piece of marble cake would be delivered. Off to the side were a bunch of plain baseball caps, feathers, paints, ribbon, and everything imaginable for those who did not have their own crazy hat to wear.

Smiling to herself, Kurumi looked over at Selina and Adam. "I think we are all set," she nodded. Oh! Almost all set. Bending down, Kurumi removed her hat from under one of the tables and promptly put it on. There NOW she was ready.

Putting together a house wide event took a lot of work and although over the years she and Kurumi had put together impromptu parties for their house this had proven quite difficult. Now that she had the badge she felt obliged to do everything above and beyond what they usually would have put together. Kurumi had even gotten Selina down into the kitchens to help, which alone was a fantastic feat.

Kurumi looked between Selina and Adam and made a comment that they were all set. Then the fifth year prefect put her hat on her head and Selina chuckled at her choice of hat. It was quite vibrant, if she did say so herself. Taking the cue from Kurumi Selina put her hat on her head. She beamed at Kurumi and said, "Yep, seems we are all ready."

When Kacie heard about the Mad Hatter Party she knew that it was something she would LOVE. It made her feel like she was at home again, making Gideon play dress up with her, but he'd only ever wear a hat. She never dreamed that she would need the hat and sock set she smuggled into her trunk, among other things, while her mother wasn't looking. The only problem now is she didn't know which one she wanted to wear. It was such a hard decision, so in the end she picked the both and would have to switch between the two.

The moment she stepped inside the party and saw all the food, mainly the sweets her blue orbs went as wide as galloens. This was certainly something she would enjoy, she just wished she was feeling better than she was. It was a lot harder lately to be her normal full of energy self. She had an idea what it was, but she wasn't going to let it slow her down. She could rest later after having some fun.

"This is AWESOME!!!!! Can we eat as much as we want?" Kacie said, with a smile. Then she eyed their hats and smiled even more. "Love both of your hats. I couldn't choose which one I wanted to wear so I brought two with me (The Monkey Hat & The Lion Hat) and they have matching slipper sock to go with them." She choose to put the monkey hat on first and slipped on the matching slipper socks. "A mad hat and crazy feet."

SPOILER!!: Jezz

She looked at the supplies sitting there so that she herself could make a hat. Ribbons, feathers, and paint. "Do you have any glitter?"

And speaking of hats. Look at that awesome sorting hat cake. How could you ever eat a piece of work like that? She was getting ready to go into sensory overload. There was so much there and it all looked awesome. But where to start? With cake. Or maybe tea. Or should she make a hat herself. Gah!

Turning from Kurumi she looked at the other older girl and gave a small and kind of shy smile. "Hi. I'm Jezzabelle." She needed to step out and be open towards people. "I like your hat."

Kacie looked at the supplies to make hats and got even more excited. "WOW!!!! I WANNA MAKE A HAT TOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" she said. All of this excitement was bound to wear her out quick if she kept this up. She smiled as she looked at Jezz. "Your about to make one? Oooooo... you should use lots and lots of feathers and make it like a peacock." She suggested with a giggle.

How had that gotten there?

There was only one way and he wasn't going to question it at the moment. The boy simply put it on his head and left his dorm for the special event. Now Gideon knew the ladies and Adam had been busy at work for the party and couldn't help but be fulled with wonder and curiosity over what was to be found when he headed over. Stepping inside and seeing everything, he smiled certainly not disappointed.

SPOILER!!: Gideon w/hat

"Ye guys certainly outdid yerself," he remarked as he walked over to Selina and the two prefects. "Especially ye,Kurumi, " he added with a nod to cookie girl. Gideon was sure most of not all of the baked goods were her personal doing. "Everything looks wonderful!"

Kacie nearly burst into a fit of laughter when she saw her brother in the hat she had made him wear during the summer. Now, how did that end up in his trunk? <__________< "That hat looks great on you Giddy, even better then when you first wore it."
